About Us
ArchiQuotes.info is a collective weblog for architectural aficionados or bloggers. Its purpose is to provide a virtual platform for the collective sharing of views and news on issues related to architecture, urban and the built environment.
If we come across a particular view that we think it is worth quoting, we will quote and share it with the rest of the world. Our motto is, "If life is too short, why keep information to ourselves!"
We are always on the look out for people who share our values and passion. Feel like contributing? Or just want to highlight to us of any events that are of interest to the architecture community. Please feel free to write to us using the form provided below.
Brief History of ArchiQuotes.info
ArchiQuotes.info has been online since 27 July 2004. It is the brainchild of Ed Chew, a Kuala Lumpur-based architecture aficionado and a graduate of Deakin University, Australia with a degree in architecture. His career covered a wide range of projects and had worked on many positions. He was a member of a project team that developed and built the Port Klang Free Zone. In this particular project itself, he had worked as a design architect, a project architect and a resident architect until to the project completion.
Ed Chew had seen enough of “bicycle shed” architecture throughout his 10 years of working experience and would want to consider designing dog kennel instead should he decide to start his own practice someday. As for the time being, he is happily making a modest living as a part-time tutor for design studio in an architectural school.
